Thanksgiving 2008

Evan watching for his cousins to arrive for Thanksgiving dinner.
It's so much fun to watch Evan play with his cousins. They love to play hide-and-seek, which is hilarious because they don't totally get it yet. Here's Evan and Gibson hanging out watching the Aggie game.

DeDe, Poppy, and their grandkids.

Our little family!
Poppy, aka, "The Giant" playing with the kids. He pretends to be a giant and growls at the kids. They keep asking him to do it so he has to say that the giant went home.
Evan and Chloe wanted to check out the Christmas lights daddy put up today!
Other Things to Remember:
-Evan got his stitches out today. We were told to come back to the ER to get it done. We didn't have to wait at all and it was pretty quick. Evan cried and we had to hold him down again but it only lasted a minute. The wound looks good and you can barely see it.
-Evan likes to say, "watch this, mommy" or "watch this, daddy," and then he does something very, very ordinary. He might pick up one knee, kick his leg, jump, raise his arms...you get the idea. Of course we respond with glee!
-We've already started singing Christmas songs. His favorite is "Away in a Manger," and "Jesus, Our Brother," as he calls it...aka The Friendly Beast (I don't think I even knew this one before).
-If you ask him what he wants from Santa, he says, "guitar, books, movies, tent." We gave a few ideas, once, and he ran with it.
