Christmas 2010

Our family read a passage and lit one of the advent candles during the Christmas Eve service. It went well and Ella Kate held it together!

The kids opened one present that night. They loved their costumes!

Ella Kate opened a doll. She loved it and hugged it all night.

We read the Christmas Story when we got home and set our cookies for Santa. We also said a sad goodbye to Sahnee (who had cleaned our chimney in preparation for Santa the day before).

Christmas Morning before the kids woke up. Santa came!

The kids looked at their presents and then I had to send Rob to the grocery store on Christmas morning! Ooops...forgot a key ingredient for dinner! There was only one store open in town and Rob said a sea of people entered at opening time. Anyway, next we went to my parents house to open presents.

DeDe and Poppy gave Ella Kate her chair. She couldn't have been happier!

He still wanted to wear the pirate costume on Christmas Day. Evan has always loved to dress up!

Christmas was very meaningful this year with two kids. Watching them interact and enjoy one another was such blessing. It was hard to believe it was Ella Kate's first one since she had been with us just about one year. In fact, none of the "Baby's 1st Christmas" came in her size:)
